Hello, I'm Ryan Gilmore and I am the founder of Union Smoke Break Clothing. I've been a tradesman my whole life. Besides being in the Army, where I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009-2010, with 2 PPCLI (Infantry), I've only ever worked construction. First it was labour work; painting, drywall and general construction. Then I went back to school for Welding and became a Pipe Welder, and worked in various local shops until I was given the chance to join the Boilermakers Union, Local 73. Since Covid shut most job sites down around me I was forced to shift from working in refineries and building pressure vessels into Real Estate & Developing. I'm on the tools every day still and that's how I like it, the only difference is now I get to hire the skilled workers myself and I have the chance to be the kinda Boss every Blue Collar Tradesman likes to work for. Tools down, it's time for a smoke break.
